Responsibilities

  • Video editor
  • Post-Production Editing
  • Sound editor
  • Edit and assemble rough clips
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share perspectives and ideas

Requirements

  • Good knowledge working with various media file formats
  • Organized with files and folders
  • The ability to type in English, Arabic, and preferably French and Urdu
  • Strong understanding of editing principles, trends and best practices
  • Strong time management skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
  • Able to come into our centre 3-4 times per week to work with a team

Experience

Minimum 2 years- Education in a related field may be applied toward this requirement
Media production/video editing education may be applied towards work experience

Salary

$17-$20 per hour
Based on Experience

15-30 years of age
The age requirements for this job have been placed by the Canadian Government.
This position is only available to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents

Job Type

Temporary Full-Time

8 weeks. Preferred Start Date: June 6, 2022

This job is offered as a part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, with a possibility of continuing employment on a part-time or full-time basis thereafter.

Location

Approximately 50% of hours will be completed onsite, with an option to complete the remainder remotely.
