"The Best Narrative"
The fact that Allah (subhānahu wa ta’ālā) chose to label the story of Yūsuf (peace be upon him) as “the best narrative” mentioned in the Noble Qurʾān suffices as a virtue for this blessed surah. Allah (subhānahu wa ta’ālā) states in the opening verses of Surah Yūsuf, “In revealing this Qurʾān to you, we relate to you the best narrative, though before this you were from those who were unaware.” Surah Yūsuf carries an intriguing story with compelling lessons, and numerous insights. Allah (subhānahu wa ta’ālā) further states, “Surely, in Yūsuf and his brothers are signs for those who are inquisitive.”
Our course will revolve around the detailed study of the text, “The Glory of Yūsuf,” written by Mufti Aasim Rashid. This text conveys the meanings and lessons of Surah Yūsuf in a manner seldom accessible to the modern English reader. In his book, Mufti Aasim Rashid renders explanations and interpretations given by the master exegetes (mufassirs) and other great scholars of hadith and other sciences, while making them relevant to contemporary contexts and conditions. Our course will provide its learners with meaningful reflections of the verses, history, background, lessons, and insights that this great chapter of the Noble Qurʾān entails.

We understand that there may be a host of reasons why someone residing locally would not be able to attend onsite, including family, health, and other restrictions. To receive special permission to attend online, please select the option while registering and inform us as to why you cannot attend onsite.
If you plan to attend some days onsite and some days online, we ask that you register for the onsite attendance to assure a seat is available to you for the days you attend in-person. Students who register for the onsite classes will also received access to online links.
We are dedicated to making the knowledge and teachings of Islam available to everyone, regardless of the financial contributions they may be able to make. We will be sharing digital copies of the slides/notes with all students. You then have the option to print these out and print them with yourself to take notes one or you can bring a tablet/iPad to take your notes. You will be given the course textbook free of cost, however you will need something additional to take notes in.
All students, regardless of whether they register for onsite or online, will receive and maintain access to all class recordings for 10 months after the course dates.

Yes, we will have child care arrangements available for an additional cost of $20 per child per day. Spots for child care are limited and will be awarded based on priority of registration.
