Shaykh Sheryar Bashir

Shaykh Sheryar Bashir was raised in Surrey, BC and at the age of 17, began treading the road to knowledge by moving to Karachi, Pakistan. He studied at multiple renown institues such as Darul-Uloom Binnori Town and Madrasa Ma’arif al-Quran while learning tajwid and memorizing the Holy Qur’an with experienced and well-known Qaris.

Upon the completion of his Tahfiz Ul Quran, he pursued his studies in Islamic sciences. He started his 7 year Shariah program in Madrastul Husnain, Tolamba, under the instruction and supervision of Maulana Tariq Jamil Sahab. Shaykh Sheryar then moved back to Surrey to continue his journey for knowledge at Al-Ihsan Education Foundation under Mufti Aasim Rashid Sahab. With the intent of pursuing higher and advanced education of Hadith, he traveled to the renowned Islamic College of Bury, UK under the instruction and guidance Shaykh al-Hadith Maulana Yusuf Mutala Sahab. He graduated from Darul Uloom Bury, completed the Aalim Program with distinctive honors.

Since this time, Shaykh Sheryar Bashir has been serving as an instructor, tutor, and administrator at Al-Ihsan. He has had the honour of teaching several senior level subjects, including Mishkat al-Masabih, Tafsir al-Jalalayn, Muwatta Malik, and more.

Shaykh Sheryar also conducts numerous programs and activities at local mosques and community centres for the Muslim public. He is known for his motivational and enthusiastic style of speaking which leaves the audience focused and learning.
